People often say that the Washington region is insulated from economic downturns and recessions because of all the federal employment. But analysts are saying that may change, and the region's rapid recent growth might slow down, affecting the local job market.
This deck sums up the recent Redskins experience pretty well, we think: "Once the Redskins were 6-2, destined for playoffs; since then, things have gone from bad to worse."
We can't imagine why Metro would do this, but apparently they've called off a deal with Google Transit that would allow users to get transit directions on Google Maps, because the deal would not be in their "best interest." Can you say short-sighted?
Joe Biden is bringing a Pennsylvania puppy to DC—a German Sheperd, to be exact. Between this and the puppy the Obamas have promised to their daughter, the White House should be a pretty canine-riffic place.
