5,000 Tickets to Inaugural Parade On Sale Today

Readers, start your engines: At 1 PM today, 5,000 tickets for bleacher seats at the Inaugural Parade will go on sale. According to a statement released this morning by the Presidential Inaugural Committee, the $25 tickets will be available at the appointed hour through Ticketmaster.com or by calling 202-397-7328, 410-547-7328, or 703-573-7328.

Of course, tickets aren't required to view the parade, but with the thousands or possibly millions of spectators expected, bleacher seats will help ensure that you can see the festivities. Otherwise, you'll be stuck elbowing for standing room along the 1.7 mile stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Ticket sales for parade seats are limited to four a person, and they'll be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you manage to score tickets, you'll need to be in your seat for the parade by 1 PM on January 20.
