Happy near-weekend, Washingtonians! We've got lots of fun for you. First up is the weekend nightlife guide, chock full of things to do today through Sunday. Then we've compiled a list of Restaurant Week extensions so you can keep eating out on the cheap. Have fun!

The Post has a piece on how the Capitals, of all the sports franchise in DC, are experiencing a resurgence in rabid fandom. As anyone who's been around Gallery Place/Verizon Center during a Caps game can attest, there certainly are a lot of Caps fans out there nowadays.  

Speaking of the Post, it's not looking great over there these days—their profits dropped 77% in the last quarter.

14th and You has an interesting post on intersections around U Street. As they write: "One of the things that has always fascinated me about U Street was the fact that while the street itself is one of the most lively and vibrant in the District, two of its most significant intersections–13th and 14th streets–kind of, well, suck."
