Happy hump day, folks! Hopefully we won't be seeing scenes like the photo above for too much longer—while the temps will be in the high 30s or low 40s today, it's supposed to warm up to the mid-50s tomorrow—and maybe even hit 60 by Saturday. Wahoo!

If you're traveling by Blue or Orange lines this morning, good luck—there are some serious delays caused by a derailment. 

Speaking of WMATA, there's a petition out and about to get their NextBus service up and running. Bloomingdale (For Now) and New Columbia Heights explain why it's worth signing.  

Apartment Therapy points us towards a really neat garden-sharing web site. 

An employee of the 16th and U Starbucks, as NBC so eloquently puts it, "popped a cap in his own leg" yesterday. He was carrying a gun for some reason that accidentally discharaged.
