Is that warm fuzzy feeling inside love or caffeine? With so many Missed Connections at Starbucks and other local coffee shops, it’s hard to say. These Craigslisters were all looking for something steamy. We’re talking about coffee, of course.

Was sitting with a colleague at Starbucks killing time before a meeting when you walked in and sat across the way to do a crossword puzzle before a girl in red joined you. Thought you were very handsome … and you had killer smile that could melt an ice jam. 🙂
What’s an ice jam?

Just got back from getting a coffee around 10 this morning. While I was waiting in line, talking with my coworker, I looked your way and I felt like you were staring at me. I looked away, but when i looked back, there you were, staring at me, or so it seemed. My shirt doesn’t have any stains, my jacket didn’t look like it had anything on it either. So maybe you were checking me out, or you thought you recognized me, or there was something interesting going on behind me. You should write me and tell me what it was, especially if I missed something really cool behind me. I am tall, was wearing a black jacket with a light green shirt underneath. I walked in with my co-worker who was taller than me and in a white short sleeve polo.
You probably had something stuck between your teeth.

It was mid-day Sunday (today) at the Dupont Circle Starbucks, the one next to Tea-ism. You were sitting in a window seat wearing a perfect pair of blue jeans and a silver ring on your left middle finger. I came up to your table while you and your female friend were chatting and I asked if you’re film-makers. Your friend replied “no.” She discussed her associate’s entry into the Washington Post “Peeps” competition. You had a killer smile, and I wish I had taken that extra moment to find out more about you. On the off-chance you come across this, drop me a line.
Was asking if she was a filmmaker a pick-up line?

Based on an overheard conversation from a couple of tables away, you moved back last October and work at a non-profit. You were working on your computer and got up a couple of times for drinks and/or baked goods. Hope that I didn’t offend by glancing too much – you are an extremely attractive man and it was hard to stop myself from looking. Thanks for brightening up an otherwise overcast day.
If anything, we think the listening, not the looking, would make him offended.
I was the natalie portman lookalike sitting at a table in the dupont starbucks. I was wearing a red shirt reading a copy of harry potter and I spilled coffee everywhere. You were a short fat man who smelled of fish and you were carrying a dead dog. Thanks for giving me your bandana, I would like to give it back to you, washed of course, over dinner this weekend? Email me if you see this.
This is just weird.

Man, It seems like everyone who goes to the gym, the grocery store, out for coffee, driving, walking, drinking gets “glanced”…When is it my turn?
Drink more coffee. And if this week’s Missed Connections are indicative of anything, go to the Starbucks in Dupont.
