Now that the Great Healthcare Kerfuffle of 2010 is winding to a close (just kidding—we know we’ll never hear the end of it), it’s back to business as usual on the Hill. There must be an election looming or something, because John McCain is really sucking up to the most entertaining Vice President that never was, Sarah Palin. Really. Never have we seen so many exclamation points from the person we recently crowned the Grumpiest Man on Twitter. It’s a little embarrassing.
In other news, healthcare reform is going to drive up the price of pizza. Which in turn may drive down the cost of healthcare because fewer people are living off of Domino’s. John Cornyn is complaining about DC again, Peter Roskam is watching Lost, Steve Israel finds it as hard as the rest of us do to spell P-E-T-R-A-E-U-S, and Jim Himes is chilly. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Pete Hoekstra. And a happy birthday to our favorite tweeting representative, Jason Chaffetz—we’ll be happy to buy you Five Guys to celebrate.
