There's a food-truck party at DC's Franklin Square (13th and K sts., NW) around 11 AM. Participating vendors are:
DC Empanadas with Mexican hot chocolate and empanadas with beef; black beans, rice, Monterey Jack, chipotle peppers, and onions; chili, beans, cheddar; and chipotle chicken, onions, garlic, black beans, Monterey Jack, and corn.
DC Love Bites with free hot chocolate.
DC Pie Truck with cowboy quiche; and spinach-and-goat-cheese pie, barbecue pork, tofu curry, apple, cherry, and mixed-berry pies.
El Floridano with Cuban pork sandwiches.
Sweet Bites Truck with piña colada/rum buttercream cupcakes

Curbside Cupcakes: Pinky One: First stop: Chinatown/Penn Quarter (Seventh and D sts., NW); Second stop: L'Enfant Promenade (between D St. and Independence Ave., SW); Third stop: 13th and F streets, Northwest; Fourth stop: 20th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Northwest. Taco Carrito: 900 North Stuart Street (between North Ninth St. and Wilson Blvd.), Arlington, from 11:30 to 1:30.
