Patients in the pediatric unit at Georgetown University Hospital had a visit from some very special guests on Tuesday: Cookie Monster and Elmo. The life-size Muppets, who are in town to perform at the Patriot Center this weekend, hugged and high-fived some of the kids, who were excited to see the furry friends, if a little shy at first. Also excited: the doctors and nurses, who made the most of their own opportunity to pose with Cookie (when they weren’t trying to stop him from raiding the refrigerator).
